20 Tips for reducing Headaches and Migraines

  1. Drink more water
  2. Increase Antioxidants (fresh fruits)
  3. Supplement with Magnesium and B-complex vitamins
  4. Eat smaller meals throughout the day (keeping blood sugar level)
  5. Eat a big breakfast
  6. Discontinue drinking caffeine
  7. High protein, low carbohydrate diet
  8. Exercise more frequently
  9. Improve posture/ergonomics of sitting and standing
  10. Discontinue eating dairy (milk, cheese, yogurt, et cetera)
  11. Discontinue eating foods with dyes or preservatives (processed foods).  If it's not naturally occuring, there's a good chance it is unhealthy.
  12. Have your eyes checked regularly
  13. Sleep on your back with a small pillow for support, or a pillow that promotes normal cervical curvature.  Get more sleep.  
  14. Study or read using a stand for your materials
  15. Overlay your computer screen with a blue filtering screen
  16. Limit texting and use a handsfree device for speaking on the phone
  17. Strengthen extensor neck and back muscles
  18. Reduce stress
  19. Meditation
