How to get a handle on weight loss once and for all
Monday, January 23, 2012
Doctors agree that exercise and proper nutrition are the only way to lose weight correctly so that you can keep it off. However, without proper motion in your spine and extremities and appropriate signaling in your nervous system, even these won’t do the trick. Exercise is only good for you when your body is able to move through the motions correctly. This allows for proper increases in muscle strength and tone as well as the ability of the lungs to expand adequately enough for the body to take in the amount of oxygen it needs.
When joints of the spine and/or extremities are restricted, the body begins to incorrectly recruit the surrounding muscles, which causes muscle strain and inhibits proper movement. In addition, a restricted spine can cause problems with the digestive system, which means that your body may not be absorbing the correct nutrients or sufficient amounts no matter how well you eat. This is due to reductions in nerve signaling from those nerves that supply the stomach and intestines where they exit the spine.
Chiropractic Neurology helps to address all of these issues by identifying and treating the areas of the spine that require motion as well as the nerves that are sending aberrant signals. Through adjustments and therapies chiropractor neurologists work with you so that your body can start working correctly so that the efforts that you are putting in with exercise and nutrition are able to pay off.
