We get this question all the time from new patients and friends alike. Functional Neurology is the practice of treating neurological disorders without the use of drugs or surgery. It's safe effective and can help patients with conditions from functional causes. This means, functional neurology can help a wide range of conditions like vertigo or dizziness, balance disorders; depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD and learning disabilities, migraines, sciatica, numbness or tingling, facial pain disorders; disc herniations, bulges, carpal tunnel, multiple sclerosis, parkinson’s disease, concussion, and head trauma.
At Portland Chiropractic Neurology, we are able to diagnose and restore health to the dysfunctional areas of your nervous system. This allows your brain and nervous system to function appropriately and restore normal health. This is analogous to connecting dots in your body, allowing brain/nerve signaling to occur and therefore communicate with the areas in question. This is essential for normal health, as every cell in the body is controlled by your nervous system, which is simply an extension of your brain.
